The Massive Nut

It's nice and heavy. Solid construction. Spins for a long time. And the files work well. Haven't tried measuring anything with it see how accurate it is yet. I really hope the release more faces. Would love to have diamond files/sharpeners!

The Massive Nut was packaged in a nice box. It does require you in install the 'file panels', which I appreciate because I enjoy assembling things. I put the panels on from smoothest to roughest. They were pretty easy to install, but be mindful to not cross thread the hex screws.
When using it as fidget spinner there was some pretty noticeable wobble to the Massive Nut. I saw several people report the same thing. So I took mine apart and weighed each panel. They were all 12 grams, except for two. One was 11 grams and the other was 13 grams. When I put them back on, I placed the panel that weighs 11 grams on the opposite side of the panel that weighs 13 and installed the others. This results in a couple things: 1) The panels are no longer smoothest to roughest. 2) The number markings are out of order. Neither of those things are a deal breaker for me and the wobble is 99% gone.
For a first version/run, I think this is an excellent product. Is there room for improvement, I think so. But I also understand the challenges behind engineering, designing and producing something like this, and wanting it to be as close to 'perfect' as possible. If I lost mine, I would definitely purchase another one. The imperfections don't ruin the product for me, but they might for some people.

This is a great little tool if you have a need for a compact set of files. It can be kept on a belt with the convenient nutsack! The bearing is silky smooth, however if you’re a snob about spinners and are looking to buy this as a spinner I would pass. The different sides are different coarseness so some have more material removed in the machining than others, resulting in a small bit of vibe. However, if you’re buying this as a tool, it’s great!

OK - they had me at "massive nut." I backed it for the cool factor but did not have high expectations. The craftsmanship is top-tier, the design is awesome. Will I get much utility out of it? Who knows, but it is an awesome fidget spinner. I am very pleased with it!

Everything must pull it's weight and this nut does so much more. Great item... Only thing better would be some brass highlights and maybe creating smaller but just as usable items. Great job
